Customize the Windows XP Desktop
You can customize your windows desktop by changing the background image, color, theme, screen saver, or screen resolutions
Change the desktop image
To change the Windows XP Desktop background image;
1. Right click empty area of the desktop, click Properties and click the Desktop tab or click Start, Control Panel, double click Display icon, and click the Desktop tab.
2. Select an image from the background image list and click apply.
3. In the position drop down box, select weather you want centered, tiled, or stretched. This will simply display centered, or multiple copies, or stretched to the screen image.
4. If you want choose your own image, click browse and select image from you document folder and click ok.
5. Click Ok, when you satisfy with the result.

Set up or change Windows screen saver
To change the Windows XP screen saver;
1. Right click empty area of the desktop, click Properties and click the Screen Saver tab or click Start, Control Panel, double click Display icon, and click the Screen Saver tab.
2. From the screen saver drop down, select a screen saver.
3. In the Wait text box, choose how many minutes windows to idle before the screen saver ignites.
4. Click preview to preview the screen saver.
5. Click Ok, when you satisfy with the result.

Change the Windows color scheme
To change the Windows XP color scheme;
1. Right click empty area of the desktop, click Properties and click the Appearance tab or click Start, Control Panel, double click Display icon, and click the Appearance tab.
2. From the color scheme drop down, select a color.
3. If listed colors do not satisfy you. Click Advance tab, and in color drop down box, select a color. Click ok.
4. Click Ok, when you satisfy with the result.

Set the screen resolutions
To change the Windows XP screen resolution;
1. Right click empty area of the desktop, click Properties and click the Settings tab or click Start, Control Panel, double click Display icon, and click the Settings tab.
2. Use the arrow to increase or decrease the screen resolution and click apply.
3. Windows screen resolutions will change and will ask you to confirm the changes. Click yes if you satisfy with change or click no to set it back.
4. Click Ok, when you satisfy with the result.
